Its been an amazing fall so far. The weather has been so mild and incredibly generous. A real treat for Vancouverites.
I had 2 exams in the last couple weeks including a midterm I took today. I received a 86% on my last exam. Taz and I went out and about the city again to get some great shots of the downtown east end. We were vintage shopping and sale hunting. We left empty handed.
We did however find a new plant for our home.
Over the weekend we decided to checkout "Occupy Vancouver" which was a protest happening downtown. I Agreed with the basis behind it (making corporate companies responsible for the crimes they commit and to increase their taxes) so I thought we should check out democracy in its live form. Unfortunately the power behind the motive was lost with the sheer mass amounts of random people protesting anything and everything. There were thousands of people protesting for Occupy Vancouver but there were some that had nothing to do with it. It was, again, an amazing fall day, perfect for protesting.
After documenting the event we wondered a few blocks up back to our amazing neighborhood where we ran into an organic farmers market. I love Vancouver. Taz had to take a moment and soak it in.
Afterwards we had some friends come over for an amazing dinner, wine, dessert, coffee, and pictionary. It was the British version so us Canadians were a little lost on some of the words.

I had a flex day at school today, which means we do not have to go to school if we feel like we are caught up. I took the opportunity to sleep in and catch up on school work at home. I had a Orthographic Projection Drawing test on Tuesday that did not go over well.
So what happened?...I woke up early to have coffee and a proper breakfast and ran off to school. Not noticing that I had forgot my drawing board and scales for the test. My teacher was not in and the Department Head was subbing for our class. As you can imagine he was not very impressed that I forgot my drawing board on the day of an exam and reminded me that I was not "in elementary school anymore". You can see why I feel I did not do very well on the exam.
After doing some drawing at home I decided to go out for a walk because the sun was out. This is very rare for a Vancouver fall day, so I decided to take advantage. I went around with my camera in my neighborhood to get some nice shots. Its hard to believe that all these photos are taken within a 10 block radius of my house. I love Vancouver.

Mundane Monday.
Another weird sleep filled with anxious dreams. I have been having "stress dreams" a lot lately since I started school. I heard it is pretty common but they definitely suck.
Last night I was having panic attacks because I could not draw perfectly straight lines around my bedroom door over and over and over again. Clearly has nothing to do with the Architecture I have been studying.
It was another cloudy chilly day, but cleared up a bit at lunch while I went outside to have a smoke. My school is only 15 minutes away from my house and a 5 minute train ride to work. I am quite lucky.
Straight after school I had to work. After work I went straight to get a haircut (I was looking quite homeless), went grocery shopping and came home to do some homework. After about an hour of homework I ate dinner and watched some TV. I should be doing more homework and preparing for an exam tomorrow but cant seem to bring myself to DRAW ANYMORE TODAY.

Today I ended up rolling out of bed pretty late. I had a deep sleep that resulted in going to bed around 3am the "evening" prior. Tamsin and I ventured out to the pubs of Yaletown last night to visit Jem at her film shoot. She has been filming for a local restaurant chain. This particular restaurant/pub was quite posh but filled with the usual grease-bags and skimpy dresses that leave nothing to the imagination.
I had a Corona and Tamsin had a Pimms.
In the morning we went out to Metrotown and do a little shopping. As Taz had not seen Metrotown and we had this on her bucket list, we decided to go. The Mall was packed full of people and after a few hours we were both quite overwhelmed.
The mass consumerist lifestyle can be quite draining. I left with a bit of anxiety and the start of a headache.
On the way back we enjoyed a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks (it is amazing) and walked through Coal Harbor on the way home. Hints of fall were seen very high...
